Cataract

If you have cataract, the lens in your eyes become cloudy and you’d notice your eyesight becomes blurry as if you are looking through a dusty glass window. It is a condition that develops slowly as we age, causing a subtle loss of vision and things will look less colorful.

 

Common Symptoms:

  • Blurry vision
  • Extra sensitivity to glare
  • Getting more dependent on lighting to see/read than before
  • Things with bright color will appear less colorful or dull
  • Double vision
  • Poor night vision

 

What can I do to avoid poor eyesight due to cataract ?

 

Cataract needs to be assessed by professional eye care specialists who are able to ensure they are using proper prescription glasses.  When condition worsens, a referral to an Ophthalmologist to have surgery done to correct the problem.
